Massage in Istanbul — Lila Spa
Finding a genuine massage salon in a city of fifteen million sounds easy until you actually try. Hotel spas charge premium rates for standard sessions. Tourist-district parlours quote one price online and another at the door. And in a city where the word "spa" is printed on far too many windows, telling the real thing from the rest takes local knowledge most visitors simply don't have.
Lila Spa is a professional massage and spa house on Istanbul's European side, in the Bağcılar district — geographically central, easy to reach by metro, and priced the way a neighbourhood salon should be rather than the way a hotel lobby is. We offer eleven massage styles, a traditional Turkish hammam ritual, sauna, steam room and a jacuzzi VIP package. Our therapists are certified, our price list is published, and the number we quote is the number you pay. This page explains everything you need before booking: what we offer, what it costs, how to reach us and what to expect once you're inside.
What we offer: eleven massage styles under one roof
Our menu covers the three great traditions of bodywork — the European school, the Far Eastern school and the hammam culture of this region — because different bodies on different days need different things.
- Classic massage (45 min · ₺2,000) — the balanced full-body session; the right starting point if it's your first time.
- Swedish massage (50 min · ₺2,000) — long effleurage and kneading, circulation-focused.
- Aromatherapy massage (60 min · ₺2,750) — you choose the essential-oil blend; slow, nervous-system focused.
- Hot stone massage (60 min · ₺3,500) — heated basalt stones; deep muscular release.
- Deep tissue massage (50 min · ₺2,750) — firm pressure for stubborn knots.
- Sultan massage (60 min · ₺2,500) — our signature ritual with hot towel compresses.
- Couples massage (60 min · ₺4,500 for two) — two tables, two therapists, one room.
- Balinese massage (60 min · ₺2,750) — flowing strokes with acupressure points.
- Thai massage (60 min · ₺2,750) — oil-free, clothed, stretch-based.
- Targeted therapeutic massage (50 min · ₺2,750) — one problem area, full session.
- Jacuzzi VIP package (₺5,000) — jacuzzi, your choice of 60-minute massage, refreshments.
Traditional hammam with body scrub and foam massage is ₺1,800 and can be combined with any massage in a single booking. Full details are on our massage types page.
Prices you can trust: no surprises at the door
Our single most important rule, and the one most often broken in this city: the price quoted at the entrance is the price you pay at the exit. No compulsory tips, no "room charge", no add-ons discovered halfway through a session. Our 2026 list starts at ₺2,000 for a classic or Swedish massage and runs to ₺5,000 for the all-inclusive VIP package.
There is also an unusual offer worth knowing about: every day between 10:00 and 13:00, massage sessions start from ₺1,200 — significantly below standard rates. It exists to fill our quietest hours, and it is genuinely the same session with the same therapists in the same rooms. If your schedule allows a morning appointment, it is the best value in the district. Places are limited, so message us a day ahead. The complete list is on our prices page.
Where we are and how to reach us
We are in central Bağcılar, on the European side. For visitors this matters more than it might sound: Bağcılar sits at the transport crossroads of the European side, which means you can reach us from most districts faster than you can reach the fashionable central neighbourhoods.
- By metro: M1B line, Bağcılar Meydan station — a short walk from the salon. If you are on the M3 line, change at Kirazlı.
- From the airport: Istanbul Airport is roughly 35-45 minutes by car; Sabiha Gökçen is on the Asian side and takes longer.
- From Taksim / Sultanahmet: 30-40 minutes by car outside peak hours; metro connections run via Yenikapı.
- By metrobus: get off at Şirinevler or Yenibosna, then a short bus or taxi ride.
- By car: connections from both the E-5 and TEM motorways; street and covered parking nearby.
Send us your location on WhatsApp and we will reply with the exact route and a map pin. Detailed directions are also on our booking and directions page.
Hygiene, therapists and what "professional only" means here
Every treatment room is aired and wiped between guests. Towels, table linen and face-cradle covers are changed for every single visit; disposables are exactly that. Our therapists are certified professionals who go through regular in-house training, and each session begins with a short conversation about pressure, sensitive areas and any health conditions we should know about.
One point we state plainly on every page of this site, because visitors to Istanbul deserve clarity: our salon provides professional massage and spa services only. Anyone arriving with a different expectation is politely turned away at the door. This is not a formality — it is what allows our therapists to work with peace of mind and our guests, women and men alike, to walk in without hesitation.
Booking: two messages and you're done
Booking happens on WhatsApp and usually takes two or three messages: you send a day and a time window, we reply with available slots, you pick one. We answer in English. There is no deposit, no prepayment and no cancellation fee — if your plans change, a short message is enough.
For evening and weekend slots, message a day or two ahead; weekday mornings and early afternoons are usually available on the same day. Long formats — hammam plus massage, or the VIP package — are booked as a block of two to three hours and are best arranged a few days in advance. When you arrive, allow ten to fifteen minutes for the welcome conversation; after your session there is no rush to leave, with herbal tea and a shower available.
Who visits us: travellers, expats and locals
Our guest book is a mix. Travellers who want an authentic hammam ritual without the tourist-district markup. Business visitors staying in the airport corridor hotels who need an hour of decompression after a long flight. Expats living in Istanbul who have discovered that neighbourhood salons offer better value than hotel spas. And, of course, the residents of the surrounding districts who make up the backbone of our week.
For visitors specifically, the two most requested experiences are the traditional hammam ritual — heated marble, exfoliating scrub, foam massage — and the couples massage, usually booked for an anniversary or a special evening. If you have limited time in the city, the hammam followed by a Sultan massage is the combination we recommend most: roughly two and a half hours, and the closest thing to a complete Turkish spa tradition you can experience in one visit.
